The Technical Maintenance Service of our client is looking for an ad interim manager for the industrial automation department. The current supervisor retires and as an ad interim supervisor you task to further merge the department with the ultimate goal December 2019 the department is ready for the future. In addition, you are on this department responsible for the daily course of affairs within the department. This involves planning, realization and management of the industrial automation of the equipment.

In this position you fall hierarchically under the Technical Maintenance Manager Business Office. You yourself provide hierarchical leadership to 15 to 20 employees, mainly Mechanics Electronics / Industrial Automation.

In this versatile position you contribute to the determination of strategy and to the realization of concepts and techniques. Know with your knowledge of technology you get the organization into uniform working methods that suit it innovative character of the client. You will also work on the standardization and the modularization of the department. With this you bring support in industrial automation to a higher level.

As a manager you also implement the (personnel) policy of the client: you conduct performance and appraisal interviews, you give implementation of the sickness absence policy and you guide the employees in their activities and development and coaches them.

You are also responsible for the safe implementation of it industrial automation policy. Working safely is paramount. You do this in accordance with the Safety statement and you communicate this to the department. You take care make sure that technicians and third parties maintain the safety procedures and you provides safety briefings and toolboxes.

Job requirements

• A completed technical HBO course, for example Technical Business Administration or Industrial Automation;
• 3 to 5 years relevant work experience, preferably also in a manager position;
• Command of the Dutch and English language spoken and written;
• Thorough (electrical) technical (maintenance) knowledge, preferably in an environment with large equipment;
• Knowledge of and insight into operational planning and production processes;
• Experience with planning and maintenance information systems;
• Insight into business processes;
• Communication skills;
• An analytical and conceptual ability to think;
• Persuasiveness and decisiveness;
• Flexibility and organizational sensitivity.
